Goodness, gracious, great hamburgers on fire! Try out this yummy bison burger recipe for your Labor Day Weekend Cookout. Burgers had the most votes yesterday on our ‘what are you piling on your paper plate this weekend poll’ – so enjoy this spin on the classic burger to say farewell to summer!

Herb Bison Burgers

Ingredients:

1 pound ground bison meat

1 tablespoons chopped shallots

1 teaspoon fresh thyme

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary

1 teaspoon fresh parsley

1 tablepoon chopped garlic

2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground pepper

Method:

Mix all ingredient together in a large bowl.

Preheat a large skillet with a tablespoon of oil. (Or, use an outdoor grill if you prefer.)

Form the meat into four even, round, patties.

When the oil is hot (starts to sizzle, crack, and smoke) gently put the burgers in the skillet.

Cook about 4 minutes on each side or until a golden crust has developed on each side.

Top with your favorite burger toppings, place on a toasted hamburger bun, and enjoy!
